Canon, the leading copier producer in the U.S., has introduced a new line of digital print systems by launching the imagePRESS C1 that is more than just a color printer – it is a color press. 

With the imagePRESS C1 you will no longer experience the “3D effect” that is most commonly seen with digital color printing, due to the innovative technology of the V-Toner. This is wax-based toner with an extremely small particle size-averaging 5.5 microns that can create images that look and feel like off-set printing.   To further enhance your output on the imagePRESS C1, Canon has also introduced Gloss Optimization that will maintain the gloss levels of the media so that you will be unable to tell where the toner begins or ends on the page.

The imagePRESS C1 offers features such as 14-page-per-minute speed for color and 60-page-per-minute black and white, Automatic Trayless Duplexing, increased levels of image resolution (equivalent to 1200 x 1200 dpi), Advanced Smoothing Technology, and enhanced calibration. For more flexible media options, the imagePRESS C1 was created to utilize media as large as 13” x 19” from any standard source. With the new Advanced Imaging Transfer Belt (AITB), the imagePRESS C1 can handle media weights from 17 lb. Bond up to 140 lb. Index (up to 110 lb. index from the cassettes) that provides exceptional quality on thick and coated media.
