The Queues Window is a default window which shows spooled, processing and printing jobs in a display that changes dynamically, for up to 5 machines at one time.
Regardless of the applications used in a document creation, a Create New Jobs features allows the user to pull from various files and merge the data, to create a new job. Users can give top priority to a job to RIP, and then print it ahead of other waiting jobs as soon as the processor is free.
Command WorkStation features three security access levels – Administrator, Operator and Guest. The administrator has full access to all Command WorkStation functions, including setup options. An Operator has access to all functions except setup, clearing the Job Log or server disk, and font management. A Guest can view the Job Status, but cannot make changes to jobs or setup. A Guest can view the Queues window only.
Administrators and Operators can check and override the print settings of all jobs. The Properties command provides the ability to override a setting based on printed output or other print device conditions, to change settings for a duplicate of the original job, or to print a single copy of a job before printing the number of copies required by the user.
